“Multi-Skill Plumbing Training” has been started during FY 2023-24 with support of PanchayatiRaj and Drinking water Department to provide training on Plumbing Skills at least 1 beneficiary from each village of Odisha, expecting they will support in repair, maintenances  and  pump operation in the rural drinking water supply scheme of Government and earn their livelihoods. However, the interested and eligible trained candidates may be provided with jobs /placement in different private organizations. It was started in the 2nd half of the FY 2023-24 and by end of current financial year, 1780 candidates have been trained. The target is to train 10,000 candidates and balance will be trained in next years. To implement the scheme, 8 PIAs have been selected through an EoI / RFP process in a transparent manner. Under the “Multi-Skill Plumbing Training” program the candidates were imparted with a 68 days course encompassing the skills relating to Electrical, Solar, Pump operation and plumbing.
