Rural Industrial Park is an integrated approach to provide livelihood activities in rural areas and end-to-end solutions across various sectors. The scheme aims to promote entrepreneurship, generate employment opportunities, and encourage economic growth in the state of Odisha.

The objective behind the establishment of the Rural Industrial Park is to encourage and support the establishment and growth of SHG/ Producers Group-based enterprises. Fulfilling this initiative will contribute to job creation, improve the skills of producers, enhance the economic development of the rural areas, and tap the untapped resources across the block of the entire State. The Rural Industrial Park will attribute infrastructure, including warehouses, processing plants, packaging and branding facilities and integrated farming cluster to support the production and marketing/market linkage of local products by the SHGs/PGs with best quality and transform SHGs to SMEs as per Government Mandate. Processing and Manufacturing, Construction, Services and Integrated Farming Cluster & Skill will be the major sector. at present a total number of 82 Blocks have been selected by the respective District Administration to implement the Rural Industrial Park.

The Rural Industrial Park will aid in marketing activities such as packaging, branding, proper sealing, Quality Control, Outlets and shopping mall, promotion and advertisement to create awareness and attract customers. The scheme will provide financial assistance to entrepreneurs to develop proper packaging materials for products, create and promote brands, and ensure proper sealing of products.
