A special initiative has been taken by ORMAS with the support of Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC Ltd) to provide skill development training to 3000 youths in the targeted mining areas of OMC Ltd. On this matter, ORMAS has signed a MoU with Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) to provide skill development training of 3000 youths from targeted mining areas of OMC Ltd and provide placement to at least 70% of trained youths inside / outside the state of Odisha in Apparels, Retail and Sales, Electronics (smart phone technician) and automotive sectors.

Through a competitive and transparent bidding process 9 PIAs have been selected during FY 2024-25 and signed MoU with ORMAS for implementation of the above project. The 1^st cycle of training was started during Nov 2023 and completed by March 2024 with 400 candidates trained in 7 training centres. Balance 2600 target will be completed during FY 2024-25.
