A Lift and Escalator Technician is one who maintains, services, troubleshoots, repairs, and inspects lifts and escalators in residential and commercial buildings in accordance with local codes of practice, statutory requirements and service manuals to ensure that the lifts and escalators are operated safely.
Course Outcome
Upon successfully completion of the course, students should be able to maintain and replace lift and escalator equipment, perform routine and periodic maintenance works, diagnose and troubleshoot defects and faults in lift and escalator installations. Assist lift engineer in the installation, testing, adjustment and commissioning of lift and escalator systems and equipment.
