WSC is going to set up Center of Excellence (CoE) in various sectors with an objective to promote best practices, drive innovation, and train students to make them industry ready. CoEs will be established in areas such as technology, research and development, customer service, or any other critical function where deep expertise is needed.
OBJECTIVE
- Creating a pool of skilled and certified professionals for the industry.
- Advanced Training infrastructure for the students and professionals.
- Bridging the gap between academia and the industry with respect to placement opportunities.
- Introducing Short Term certification programs for students and professionals, as per NSQF aligned program.
- Conducting TOT (Training of Trainers) for the faculties of ITIs, Polytechnics and other TVET institutions.
WSC will set up the Centres of Excellence in the following areas
- Center of Excellence in Welding
- Center of Excellence in Water Management & Plumbing
- Center of Excellence in Industrial Automation
- Center of Excellence in Smart Manufacturing
Characteristics of Center of Excellence
