A center of excellence (COE), also called an excellence center, is a team, a shared facility or an entity that provides leadership, best practices, research, support, or training for a focus area.
To cater this, WSC has planned to set up a Center of Excellence (COE) in industry relevant and emerging sectors. The COE aims to introduce the latest technologies in welding to the students and other stake holders.
OBJECTIVE
- Creating a pool of skilled and certified professionals for the industry.
- Advanced Training infrastructure for the students and professionals.
- Bridging the gap between academia and the industry with respect to placement opportunities.
- Introducing Short Term certification programs for students and professionals, as per NSQF aligned program.
- Conducting TOT (Training of Trainers) for the faculties of ITIs, Polytechnics and other TVET institutions.
